Tzit-tzit

Numbers 15: 38-40 "Speak to the children of Israel and tell them to make tassels for themselves on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and put a blue thread on each tassel.  You will have the tassel to look at and so you will remember all the commands of YaHoVaH, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.  Then you will remember to obey all My commands and will be consecrated to Elohanu."

My father Yoseph's coat was of many colors. In honor of my ancestors I make my tzitzot in many beautiful colors and give them names to encourage and bless the wearers. Every Hebrew letter has a corresponding number. The wrappings are done to correspond with those numbers and letters. Y or yud is the 10th letter, H or hey is the 5th letter. V or vav is the 6th number. Then H or hey again is 5. 10, 5, 6, 5. The wrappings spell YHVH, our Creator’s Name.
